I would give 0 out of 5 if it would be possible. Doctors don’t know shit, waiting time is at least one hour for everything. Arriving with ambulance and waiting 20-40min for a doctor to hear that “you can go home if you’re feeling better”. Now waiting with my daughter at emergency while we can see from waiting room that doctor which should be helping people is chilling and reading news on computer and playing some funny game on his phone. All bills coming from this hospital are propably for the heating because it’s warmer than water in blue lagoon. I advise everyone to avoid this shitty place at all.

I had a medical problem at the blue lagoon while visiting during a long layover. The EMTs in the ambulance were incredibly kind and careful with me. I had a flight that was leaving approximately two hours after arriving at the hospital and the doctors and staff did their absolute best to make sure I made it to my flight - and I did! Very thankful for their help

104 rannsóknir sem er frekar augljóst að ein manneskja sé ekki að fara í 104 rannsóknir á einu bretti. Ég býst við að sóttvarnalæknir hafi sent 104 einstaklinga í rannsókn, vonandi borgar enginn slíka reikninga fyrir ríkið. ?

Went to this emergency in Keflavik for my wife’s back. She was unable to get out of bed in the morning after hiking in Gullfoss. The staff spoke perfect English and listened to our concerns. The wait in the ER was about 90 minutes. Overall we were in and out in about 3 hours with the medication she needed to make the flight home. Not somewhere you would likely go for complicated diagnostic, but as a quick triage it was what we needed. Cost was about 70000 ISK.

On Sunday at home, I unfortunately bent down to pick up something from the floors. A terribly unpleasant current went through me, and I never got up from the floors. The boy had to take me to the car and take me to the hospital, he made my whole spine and legs numb. I was very scared. At 4 p.m. we arrived at the Emergency Room, the nurse took care of it very quickly. I was given a cannula and 9 injections, unfortunately the pain did not go away. I spent 4 days in the hospital, it is said that my disc jumped over and compressed my nerve. The lady at the reception desk, Dr. Erik, the nurses and the cleaning ladies was very friendly and helpful. Throughout my stay, I was constantly communicating in English and no one made a problem of it. The food was delicious (apart from the gruel, maybe one meal) After 3 days I was able to stand on my feet, and after 4 days I slowly recover. I got a very nice physiotherapist (Sara) who came to me and helped me with the exercises to ease the pain that was bothering me. I received a photo of the exercises that I received at home, was referred to Physiotherapy and received a prescription with medications. I rate my stay very well, despite the terrible pain I experienced during the first few days.
The doctor and the staff relieved my pain and made me feel at home for which I would like to thank you! ❤

The entrance for Heilsugæslan is fronf of the building walk towards the entrance and once youre closer theres another entrance to the right marked Heilsugæsla, then theres a desk right by the door.
It does have a computer for self checkin IF you have an appointment and a person behind a desk. But you need to make an appointment first before going.

I went at 7:30pm place closes at 8pm and i couldnt get in as they said they were fully booked and i had to get an appointment

Just help yourself and don’t go to this place to get test or anything. Those people are not serious. I got there with serious pain in my jaw. After so much time i got in tested on xray and one doctor came aftair 1 hour to say to me that I HAVE NOTHING BUT JUST INFLAMMATION. I LEFT THE HOTEL in so much pain..I flew to poland..I had one Xray here and doctor said i have 2 broken bones on my jaw. IN THIS LITTLE ICELANDIK “HOSPITAL” YOU ARE RACISTS AND HYPOCRITES RUDE PEOPLE STAY AWAY GUYS

Two times i had to use emergency room in Keflavik and both times i received professional help. Doctor greeted me and explain the situation very clearly. Nurses were very helpful and caring.
