Akkeri Guesthouse was hands down the highlight stay of our road trip through Iceland! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The owners are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their hospitality was genuine and heartwarming.

The food was amazing – freshly prepared with care, and a real treat after a long day of exploring. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, perfectly complementing the cozy atmosphere of the guesthouse.

The location was also perfect; close to all the sights we wanted to visit, yet nestled in a quiet, serene area where we could fully relax. The breathtaking views made it even more special.

Akkeri Guesthouse is, without a doubt, the best place we stayed during our trip. Highly recommended!

The guesthouse is very clean and has everything a family needs. The location is awesome & staff were all very friendly. The room is definitely cozy but it's in a small town and a traditional style house so that's expected. Our family loved it because it adds to the authentic Iceland experience!||

Akerri guesthouse is small and somewhat basic, but very comfortable with friendly and helpful owners/managers. We arrived in the evening after our overseas flight and driving the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were exhausted and jet lagged but they greeted us warmly and gave us recommendations for a late dinner in the small town. Breakfast was continental/buffet style with good coffee, and they even warmed up some of our leftover cold pizza for one of our teenagers. From the time of booking through the last few hours before we arrived and emailed to let them know we were running late, they were always prompt in their replies. They were also helpful in suggesting a route for our drive north and I'm glad we took their suggestion to drive the gravel road around the fjord instead of backtracking to route 1, since it was absolutely stunning. You will be warm, comfortable, and well taken care of at Akkeri!

Delizioso! Camera abbastanza spaziosa per gli standard islandesi, arredamento molto carino, letti comodi, spazio adeguato, ottima vista, molto confortevole, parcheggio proprio di fronte. Paesino molto carino, da vedere. Super accogliente! Personale molto gentile.

We stayed at the Akkeri Guesthouse for convenience; it is very close to the ferry terminal from which we needed to leave first thing in the morning as we headed north to the Westfjords. But the accommodation proved charming, with updated, modern decor and a private bath. The service was excellent; the woman who checked us in also made sure that we had dinner reservations at one of the two nicer restaurants in town. The breakfast was on the simpler side, but they will have it ready whenever you need it and the shared dining area is cozy and comfortable. This was also one of the more affordable places we stayed during our entire two weeks in Iceland. So, although not a luxury hotel, it met all of our needs and was a relative bargain!
