Einföld herbergi með öllu sem þarf. Tveir heitir pottar, stór ísskápur og sjónvarp með Netflix. Kem aftur við tækifæri.

This charming little guesthouse was easy to find on the Golden Circle route. It was in a very rural area but the Blue was at least direct access from a major road. It was super cozy with the snow and very quiet. Outdoor hot saunas were available and the room was stocked with slippers, bathrobes and extra towels for these of the hot saunas. There was ample parking and the parking was a very short walk to the rooms (a plus if you were like us who overpacked!).||The rooms are in detached buildings from the cabin where breakfasts were taken. Then buildings are all a stone's thrown away from each other. Rooms were a nice size and beds were comfortable. Management was pretty much hands off unless you needed them. We happened upon a staff member who had his laptop in the breakfast cabin, so we didn't have to call the number provided to obtain our room code number. As we arrived around 7pm, he also told us to dump our luggage in the room and go across the street to the MIKA Restaurant which was open until 10, or to walk down to the pub if we wanted pub food. Mika took a while to bring the food, but it was well worth the wait and very rustic and cozy.||Breakfast was included and offered, coffee, tea, juices, fruit, bread, cheeses and cereals. Nothing elaborate but definitely sufficient and nourishing.

Super Unterkunft! Sehr empfehlenswert, vor allem wenn man die Attraktionen rund um den Golden Circle sehen möchte.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war sehr gut. Das Zimmer, das Bad, die Hot Tubs waren sauber, das Frühstück angenehm gestaltet. Auf dem Zimmer gibt es einen Fernseher und einen Wasserkocher. Den Abend konnte man also entspannt im Zimmer mit einer Tasse Tee oder im Hot Tub ausklingen lassen (Teebeutel auf dem Zimmer fanden wir zudem sehr aufmerksam).

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and it was perfect. The self check-in was super easy and made everything very relaxed. The location was great, right by the main attractions of the Golden Circle.

Everything was very clean and cozy, and we felt at home straight away. The hotel and restaurant looked beautiful, especially in the winter landscape—so romantic!

The highlight for us was the whirlpools, which were amazing after a cold day outside. The hotel even provided bathrobes, which was a nice touch.

Breakfast was fantastic, with so much attention to detail. We especially loved the coffee machine and the crispy bacon!

We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back!

We hebben dit hotel last minute geboekt, het was code rood in IJsland en hadden een hotel dicht in de buurt nodig. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk! De kamers waren zeer goed, er was zelfs vloerverwarming in de badkamer. We konden ook Netflix op de tv kijken. We hadden enkel wat problemen met het controleren van de temperatuur in de kamer, het was vrij warm en we konden het raam niet openzetten door de storm. Dus als er geen storm geweest was was dit geen probleem. Het ontbijt was gewoon prima. Ook mochten we na het uitchecken in de ontbijt ruimte wachten tot code rood over was, er waren ook gezelschapspelletjes dat je mocht gebruiken.
Al bij al echt een heel goed hotel! Zeker waar voor je geld!

This was a great place to stay for a couple of nights. We got a standard double, the staff were relaxed and room was cosy with nice bathroom, great shower, really comfy beds, fridge and basic furniture. Breakfast was buffet with plenty of food, eggs, bacon, cereals, waffles with loads of toppings, fruit etc. We stacked our plates and weren't hungry for the rest of the day. The breakfroom is open for guests as a communal space in the evening. Our room was extra hot and we slept with the window open. Well placed for activities in the golden circle and recommended.

Hotel esteticamente molto bello, la sala della colazione davvero carina, sembra di essere in una baita di montagna, colazione abbondante e abbastanza buona, anche se avrei gradito qualche cornetto. Le camere sono belle ma davvero troppo calde, non c’era niente per poter regolare la temperatura, e pur aprendo la finestra ho fatto fatica a dormire! Bellissime le hot tube in giardino per poter stare in ammollo sotto le stelle!

Hotel is located in the heart of Icelandic golden ring very close to all must see places. Room and bed was comfortable, clean. We had a good view from window and we were very happy with breakfast. Wifi was good, as well as parking facilities . . .
