This place was really clean for a hostel but it was a bit expensive (it's Iceland though so it's to be expected) and the towels had to be rented. There is a lovely big shared kitchen where you can label your own groceries and a great community room with many chairs and clean facilities. The rooms have 3 bunks in them so just beware of other people (especially romantic couples). Really great overall and a relatively inexpensive stay!

I stayed for 3 nights in this hostel and I had a good experience. The hostel was overall clean and they have a lot of bathrooms an enough showers. ||I stayed in both, a 12-beds and 6-beds dormitories. The beds are clean and comfortable and I loved the detail of the little curtain, which gives the impression that you actually have a space for yourself, despite you are sharing the room with multiple people. ||The personnel are very young and I found that some of them were not very polite, for example, they wouldn't say hi when seeing you. ||But my overall experience was great here! I met interesting and friendly people in the common areas.||This hostel is 30 minutes drive from the KEF airport and 15 minutes drive from Reykjavik downtown, which IMO is a quite good location. Plus, the 12-bed dorm is super cheap! I payed 16 euros per night!

Great hostel! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were an interesting set up, 4 double sized bunk beds with curtains to help with Iceland’s constant light in the summer. Full kitchen with anything you would need plus room for you to site your food. Only downside is that there were no lockers to lock your things away. Luckily we had a car so we kept all our valuables on our bunk while sleeping or in the car.

Heel gezellig, grote keuken, veel badkamers en toiletten, hele aardige en behulpzame receptie. Ze was alleen niet altijd aanwezig. Verder was er een probleem met onze slaapruimte, dus kregen we eenpersoons ipv tweepersoonsbedden, maar die kamer was leeg op 1 persoon na dus dat was best fijn. Ook kregen we een refund voor de nacht die we uiteindelijk dubbel hadden geboekt. De dichtstbijzijnde pickup-stop voor de tours is Nordurey hotel, ongeveer 12 minuten lopen (iets meer als het heel glad is). In de keuken is wat gratis eten te vinden, wat mensen achter hebben gelaten voor hun vertrek.
Al met al voor deze prijs supergoeie service en accomodaties.

El hostel me gustó mucho, reservé una habitación privada con mi pareja y tenia una pequeña cocina con microondas y hervidor eléctrico, con lo que no tuvimos que ir a la cocina general. El alojamiento es muy cálido y tranquilo, cerca no hay nada pero del otro lado de la carretera hay un KFC y Taco Bell. Para aparcar tuvimos que dejar el coche un poquito lejos ya que habia muchos sitios pero todos con el cartel de que se avisa grua. La habitacion era comoda y cálida, los baños compartidos eran grandes, calidos y el agua caliente muy buena. Sin duda repetiría y lo recomiendo.

Perfect choice for those who are looking for a stylish and modern hostel. Going into Iceland I was aware of how expensive the entire holiday would be day to day, particularly eating and drinking. So I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and facilities in this hostel, from the welcoming communal area, complemented with a kitchen area for those who want to cook meals themselves, if they choose not to eat out. I was concerned by the showers, but it quickly abated by the quality of several shower rooms, which allows for privacy, different from other hostels I have been too. Another issue I was concerned about before coming to the hostel, would be cleanliness, but I had nothing to worry about as the host cleaned the communal area daily. Even though we stayed in a six-person bedroom, I felt me and my companion had enough privacy, as with each bunk bed faced away from each other. The hostel is situated in Hafnarfjörður, around 20-30 minutes (By car) away from Reykjavik, with plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and shops located around the hostel, but also close enough if you wish to explore the country's capital. One issue to this hostel would be the limited amount of space in the car park, which filled up pretty quickly, so I had to park on the streets close to the hostel.||Overall, I would highly recommend this hostel for those wanting a modern hostel, situated not too far away from Reykjavik.||

Wonderful hostel to stay in, the beds allow for a lot of privacy and darkness (especially in the summer!) The kitchen is fully equipped and the free coffee was a really nice bonus! The best part about this hostel was the cleanliness, and the large showers. The staff members were all very helpful, and generally friendly. The only downside is that its far away from downtown Reykjavik, but the city bus is cheap (about $4 or 400 ISK) and easy to navigate with the app.

Vibrant Iceland Hostel is a cheap, but still valuable, hostel just right at the gates of Reykjavik (10 minutes driving from the very inner city).||The Check-in is perfect and even guests that arrive late in the evening can come in thanks to a code provided by the staff.||I found the hostel very clean, the kitchen is well furnished and well organized, the bathrooms (placed both in the first and second floor along with the shower) are really clean as well. ||Unless is a hostel, guests behave in a good way, that means the hostel is calm even during the night!||Wifi connection is perfect and I found communicating with the staff very easy and fast!||It's just worth it 🙂
