Our duvet is pure perfection! The craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into making our heirloom duvet is more than we anticipated receiving.

If you don't know much about eiders or how their down is harvested, let me tell you that this is the most compassionate down gathering on the planet! It is lovingly plucked from the nests of the birds, not from the birds themselves (which happens with goose down sourcing). It then goes through a rigorous cleaning process to get every tiny spec of straw or debris out...the end result is a product that is as pure, soft, and fluffy as you can possibly imagine! There will never be any bits poking through the fabric of your duvet, as this is a 100% pure down product with no feathers included.

When we ordered our duvet, I had a bit of knowledge about eiders and the superb quality of their down, but I had no idea how this family cares for their multi-generational craft. The eiders return to their farm every year, back to nests that have windbreaks to protect them from the harsh Icelandic wind, which are filled with clean new straw, in a huge field that is protected from many predators. There are around 2000 nests that are tended to by hand in order to rear a new generation of eiders, and provide enough down to support a family business. It is a symbiotic relationship.

These duvets are heirloom pieces. They are beautiful. They are so lightweight that it is like sleeping under a cloud that provides a soft cozy warmth without being too hot.

Our experience with was sublime. They worked with us to get the measurements exactly right, to determine the weight of down we desired, and the fabric we wanted to hold it all together. The finished product is divine, and well worth the price!

Hraun a Skaga and their duvets are remarkable. I'm pleasantly surprised with how warm the duvet is given how soft and light it feels on me! The casing is beautiful and allows the down to loft beautifully, and the logo is stunning in the light. I really appreciate that you were also able to add the fabric strips so I could lock it into my duvet covers which I do feel helped. Overall. the duvet is one of the most luxurious items I've ever owned, and 100% worth it. The story of your family's farm and the sustainable practices you employ to create the duvets is inspiring, and I wish more businesses would give more thought to their impact on the environment. Herdís was also a pleasure to work with; she was patient and kind as I asked many questions and requested customizations to the duvet. I'm looking forward to enjoying this generational piece for years to come. Cheers!

Fantastic in every respect. I find it hard to get out of bed now. Finally I can sleep perfectly all night, nice and cozy. Terrific service from Herdis, she goes above and beyond to educate on the entire process ensuring no harm to the birds in the collecting of the down as well as assuring that no chemicals are used. She was a wealth of information. The cotton and cashmere casing is lovely and contrary to what I had previously heard about eiderdown, the duvet is full, not flat and nice and light, feeling like it is floating above and around you. I wish I had made this investment sooner. These duvets are superior to other eiderdown from competitors. The turnaround time was great and it was safely delivered to Canada with absolutely no problems. Also, Herdis made sure exactly how much down I needed for where I live and even formulated a special casing so it wasn’t crunchy sounding when you move at night. I give it 10/10.
