Our flight got canceled and we had to spend 2 nights in Reykjavik. I wanted to find a hotel for a reasonable price close to the town center as we were going to stay there for Christmas eve and the kids were already bummed to be missing the holiday with their cousins. After a quick search, I found this place. The location is perfect, it is a very short walk to the city center (even in the cold winter). The room are spacious and clean. While the rooms are simple in their decor, they offer everything that you need. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast, while pricey (well, everything is in Iceland so really, nothing shocking here), was amazing. The selection of meat, cheese, fruits, pastries, bread, was really great. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Iceland. Its location makes it affordable but still super convenient and it is comfortable and nice.

On first entering our room I thought it could do with a bit of an upgrade however it was just lovely and such a cosy room to return to after a day sightseeing. My husband said it was the most comfortable bed he has slept in! The shower was lovely and warm and the room had such a nice cosy feel about it. The breakfast was great and such a big choice. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the happy hour at the bar was a bonus each evening. I would definitely stay again if I returned.

The room was small but was very clean and comfortable. If you needed your room servicing you asked at reception which I preferred to a daily visit. The hotel restaurant only serves breakfast. This was a fantastic choice of " Full English" pluse an array of "continental" meats, cheeses, pastries etc etc and was of high quality. It is served up till 1030 so no rush in a morning. If you have an early flight they will provide a pack up FOC.|Without exception the staff were friendly and efficient.|Recommended.

Absolutely terrible. We booked in advance for 8 days and provided notes requesting a high floor to ensure we have a quiet space. Upon arriving we had a snarky receptionist comment on the duration of our stay as well as how we have so many notes. Of course if we are staying for a long period, we would want to be comfortable and provide clear and concise notes of what we wanted to which was a room that is quiet. We were given a room on the 4th floor below the cleaner’s stock room. Every night and morning we had disrupted sleep because of the noise. We complained twice. The first time we mentioned this to receptionist they told us they will move us, however no action was made the second time we again mentioned this but it was the night before we were flying out and at the point we were leaving and had no intention of moving our belongings. We simply mentioned again at our disappointment of service being neglected despite provided clear notes upon booking with the hotel. Who ever the night shift receptionist was had no care to do their due diligence in looking at the room they delegated instead provided us the nosiest room possible! Save your money and pick a different hotel.

The location is perfect for your stay in Reykjavík, with everything being a close walking distance from this hotel. Staff is great. They will hold your luggage if needed and they are happy to accommodate your needs. Breakfast in the morning is fine. Only issue I had is that the showers were extremely small and the flooring in the bathroom was sometimes stained in the shower from standing water. I just wish the showers were better at this hotel, and some of the rooms are arranged inefficiently. Regardless of these issues, this hotel is still a good deal for your stay in Reykjavík.

The hotel is clean always, breakfast is buffett and full of good stuff to eat.|Request to have your room cleaned is done via reception to be done before 10 am and it is a great idea to save the planet. You can get free water to use inside the hotel from the reception. All staff are friendly and approachable

For the cheap price I liked this hotel.
Room was more than adequate, bathroom was great. Kettle, small fridge and little essentials provided.
My only complaint is that drain in the sink was very noisy especially throughout the night. Other than that it was great for the money we paid.

Such nice and friendly staff. Katarina was great. ||Beds are nice and comfortable. Great bang for your buck. However we weren’t aware the shower/sink water would smell so rancid due to the sulfur. But besides that it was great. Easy 20 minute walk to festivities!
