We had a magical stay at Hilltop House, complete with an aurora show two nights in a row! The hot springs are very well maintained yet still natural/rustic and we had fun trying out the different temperatures in the different pools. We would definitely come back to Hvammsvik in a future Iceland trip!

Beautiful stay, a lovely isolated place if you want peace and quiet, away from hustles tourist, this is the place 💎💎💎. We stayed at The Lake House, all what we needed were there, from kitchen utensils, washing machines, etc.

The communication and instructions from the Management was clear, so please read your email and the notes inside the house.

Please remember this is self service accomodation, don't expect to see the concierge, receptionist or the staff. But the staff was the phone call away and always nice, helpful and ready to assist you. if you order for breakfast, the staff will deliver your breakie the night before. They also update the guest house about the info of the weather, temperature and possibility the sight of the northern lights.

The helpful staff even accommodate my Son with the fishing rod in March as fishing was only in summer time. He caught pink salmon, rainbow trout from the ponds, what a great experience.

The bed were comfy, the whole house always warm, the best thing was there's no cold draft we can feel get inside the house at all considering it was freezing outside and super windy.

We've been travel to best resorts in 15
different countries, Hvammsvik Nature Resort and Spa is in our Top 5 lists. We definitely will come back again!!

This place really missed the mark. And their customer service was awful. They charge $1000 a night for a beautiful home with zero comforts. The key to our house didn’t work so we couldn’t safely lock our stuff or ourselves. The coffee maker doesn’t work. There were 2 towels in the whole house that sleeps 6 people. The hot tub was dirty. They charge you for this ‘amazing’ stay as quoted in TimeOut - but nickel and dime you for their ‘spa and resort’. The hot springs are crammed and over stuffed with people and they charge you to use them even though you are staying on property. And if you go in their ‘secret hot springs’ for guests staying on the property then you can’t use the locker rooms in the main ‘spa’ area. (Thus no bathroom or changing room). And their ‘dining’ is more of a casual lunch spot. For their ‘5 star’ experience I have never felt more disappointed and sad to stay somewhere. Pretty much assume this is an overpriced Airbnb and bring everything you need with you. Included snacks and bottled water. Cause they provide you nothing. I chose this as a special night for my baby moon and am leaving sad and stressed out.

We only visited the hot springs in late November. The water was very nice and warm. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. If we were to visit Iceland again, this would be the first thing on our bucket list

We went to Hvammsvik to relax in an Icelandic thermal bath. We went on the advice of our hotel concierge and could not have been more pleased. Many pools at many different temperature ranges, and if your brave enough, you can take a dip in the cold, cold, north Atlantic.

If you have the time, and want to luxuriate in thermal pools surrounded by volcanic pumas and stunning scenery, you should go.

We were connecting flights @ Keflavik & looking for a hot springs experience while spending just one day in Iceland. Came across Hvammsvik in a local magazine which highlighted a secluded spot 30 minutes from Reykjavik with sensational views. It was an easy drive & we arrived early. Overall, the experience exceeded expectations. Great staff, clean dressing room, outfits provided. After changing into our suits, we were in very close proximity to several tiered pools, all with different temperatures. The natural ‘steam room’ was epic!!! Great value too!!!

Disappointed. I paid for the comfort which I thought would be in line with sky lagoon. Had a lovely visit there and decided to try another. It's more rural than I realized when booking. Here you have to walk down a gravel path to get to the spa. It is a metal building This one does not provide towels except 1 towels with the comfort package and after you shower before getting in the spa it's wet and because you have to walk outside in the wind and cold to get to the spa. You're going to bring the towel. There was nothing comforting about using a wet towel. The dressing room is very small . The showers aren't private as the glass is opaque. The spas are only about 2 feet deep so you have to sit and can't walk around unless I knee- thigh deep. They must of jacked the prices up during are visit catching the blue lagoon spill overs. Our original reservation before Sky Lagoon was at Blue Lagoon but it was closed due to seismic activity. At the least they should provide towels and improve the dressing room.. Lovely area but I really felt ripped off after experiencing Sky Lagoon and wish I had had the opportunity to visit Blue Lagoon.
