At this institution they first issue a verdict. Only then can you try to do something about it with all the stress. Not fair.
When I first came in contact with this institution I was rudely told here is our claim. A claim for a whole year alimony. I had paid my girlfriend in Iceland well-intentioned. My girlfriend received the minimum child support through the Icelandic government. However, Innheimtustofnun Sveitarfélaga wants me to pay more than double. An error.
There had already been a verdict without giving me a chance to defend myself. The right to a fair trial has been violated. My feeling is that with this institution you were immediately found guilty whether or not you paid your partner. They just need to link your name to the verdict. This institution acts as PROSECUTOR and JUDGE. Who is calling this institution to order? This institution is abusing Icelandic law.
This institution does not care about the law of the EU and other countries. They do not say how the verdict came about. They don't tell you what your rights are. They don't tell you how to appeal. You will hardly get answers to questions here. They almost don't respond. Also do not send official documents of the verdict if you ask for it. Very unreasonable and unethical.
