Við hjónakornin gistum eina nótt í litlu húsunum sem þau eru að leigja út og þau eru verulega skemmtileg. Sameiginleg aðstaða var svo með thladsvæðinu og hún var líka í fínu lagi. Rauðisandur er náttúrulega einstakur og vera þarna í 15°C og sól er bara ógleymanlegt.

Hi we spent one night at this campground. The view is amazing. You’re really paying for the location and the delight of the outdoors. There is one shower and an outdoor one. 4 toilets. A small kitchen. I understand how it can be inconvenient. It’s a place for campers who have everything they need already.
The manager is really nice. There is a lot of wild life. We were able to go see wild seals up close and it was magical. Lots of birds and little crabs. It’s beautiful!!!
Be careful the road to get there is very damaged but we made it with a rental van and a lot of positivty ☺️

One of our best campsites in Iceland beach was amazing. There was a lot of hiking to do overall it was really fun. We got our Icelandic sweaters there for a reasonable price. They have clean bathrooms and a small but functional common space for cooking and stuff washer no dryer.

We loved it there! The location is magic. As it is quite distant it is not so busy. Just couple of steps from the pink and golden beach. There are clean toilets, showers, kitchen with all the utilities. I wish we could spend there more time!

Spot avec vue exceptionnelle, entourée de fjord, de l'océan et d'une cascade. Si vous avez la chance que le ciel soit dégagé alors foncez-y vous ne regretterez pas.
Ce beau cadre ne se fait pas sans concession, le prix y est cher pour un service discutable.
4 toilettes et 2 douches dont une extérieur ainsi qu'un petit coin cuisine.
Ma note restera de 5 car mon expérience restera gravé dans ma mémoire.

Endroit superbe, proche de la plage mais cuisine minuscule (uniquement 4 places assis sur un mange debout et 2 plaques d'appoint). 4 toilettes et 2 douches (une douche sans toit). Pas d'électricité pour le sèche cheveux. Je vous conseille de venir uniquement si vous êtes indépendants niveau cuisine / douche. Comme partout, ils accueillent beaucoup plus de personnes que ceux qu'il faudrait pour le bon déroulement du camping.

Can’t recommend. Kitchen is so small there is nowhere to eat your food. Ended up just sitting in our car since there was the usual Iceland weather and the outdoor uncovered picnic tables are useless. One shower caused a line to form…and this was all in the late season when the campground wasn’t busy.
The camping field was a mud pit. All the cars had to park close together in the same dry area so we wouldn’t get stuck. One car that arrived late was stuck in the morning.
Other reviews mentioned wind and they weren’t kidding! Our car was moving in the wind gusts all night.
The area is beautiful and definitely worth a visit, just do a day trip and move on.

In May 2025, I had the pleasure of spending a night at this incredible location, where I was treated to breathtaking views. The beach is just a short walk away, and during my visit, I was delighted to see sheep and lambs grazing freely. The tide times are conveniently posted, and at low tide, I was able to spot seals and their young on the beach. It's worth noting that the road leading to this location is unpaved and may not be suitable if you are not prepared. However, the stunning scenery makes it well worth the effort. The bathrooms are impeccably maintained, with the added luxury of private outdoor showers. The kitchen is well-stocked with a range of tools and appliances, including a washer and dryer. The Italian staff member at the campsite was exceptionally friendly and brewed excellent coffee. We arrived late and were advised to check in at the reception the following morning. My only complaint was that I struggled to adjust the shower water temperature, which seemed to be either extremely hot or cold. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend staying here again and again.
